With the start of a new year, we are excited to announce a call for applications for the inaugural La Montañita Co-op Marshall Kovitz Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship is named for La Montañita founding owner and board member Marshall Kovitz, a proponent of strong local economies and equitable food systems. Through a generous 25-year partnership with the Co-op, the Sustainability Studies Program will be offering annual scholarships to our students whose academic focus is on food systems. CONGRATULATIONS to the winners of this semester's La Montanita Co-op Marshall Kovitz Memorial Scholarship! Each of these deserving students were carefully selected by the Scholarship committee and found their work in the areas of food systems exciting, innovate and dynamic. The Scholarship committee selected Carly Anderson, Christina Hoberg, Pam Quintana and Amy Sedillo.
